After yesterday’s phenomenal start several teams have reported damage aboard, some likely retired and others have pulled into land for technical pit stops – and yet the worst of the weather is yet to come. Team meteorologist Jure Jerman reports: “Today they will have to cross the first weather system, the shallow low developing west of the fleet. The wind direction will change for 180 degrees to north, which will be the first chance for the fleet to start heading south and the stronger conditions are already opening…”
