Dear All,
A very Happy New Year from us all at PS Racing. We hope you all have some exciting plans afoot for the year ahead and enjoy pursuing and fulfilling your personal goals.
2016 is set to be a very big year for us as we focus on getting to the start line of the world’s toughest yacht race, the Vendée Globe. Many previous competitors have said that reaching the start is as tough or tougher than the race itself, and it is incredible to see just how far we have progressed from this time last year, and how much fantastic support we now have behind the project.
Today, we are grateful to Herald Scotland and their sports roundup of the year for which we were delighted to be a part of (last two paragraphs):

In the next few months we will be fitting out a race yacht with some innovative renewable technology to demonstrate the importance of a rapid transition away from fossil-fuelled systems.
We hoped you all enjoyed following our Length of Britain record. Apart from probably convincing you why not to sail north of Jersey in the middle of December, we hope it was inspirational and that someone can attempt to beat this record, so we can go back and re-break it (in summer next time!). We are very grateful indeed to our principal partners for the challenge, Bruichladdich and Highlands and Islands Enterprise. Overall we had some really fantastic media coverage and reach, with over 1 million hits from twitter alone.
It was a tough passage and by no means all fun, with a big part of our motivation being to raise money for Brain Tumour Research. This cancer affects more people under 40 than any other form of cancer, and we are hoping to raise enough funds to cover several days of research in 2016, at their Imperial College Research Centre of Excellence. We are now 77% of the way towards our initial target of funding, and it would be really great to reach 100% to secure 1 full day of research. If you would like to help reach this goal, we are hugely grateful for all donations, no matter how small, so please visit my Just Giving page:

Thank you so much to everyone who has made a donation so far.
Have a really great 2016 and we look forward to keeping you updated on the exciting developments of the Energy Challenge.
Best Wishes
Phil and the team
