“Last night was hard. In fear of missing a wind shift it was impossible to sleep in more than 10 minute slots. So far this race has been a serious test of my patience, I imagine the other skippers are just as frustrated. We spent the night literally parked outside the Channel with no wind, and the sails dripping backwards and forwards.
“Yesterday I tacked west in search for the new southwesterlies. This was quite a big investment, which has dropped me down the ranking, but I am hoping I can recover by getting the fresh wind first – fingers firmly crossed.” Phil
